The Solomon Islands 50 dollar banknote was introduced in 1986 by the Central Bank of Solomon Islands. It comes in purple, green, and yellow combinations. The obverse of the note bears a club, dog carvings, and the coat of arms of Solomon Islands. The back of the note depicts Nymphalid butterflies, flowers, a pot, a snake, lizards. Shells, plants, and a spear are also visible. The banknote is 160 x 79 mm in size and carries a solid security thread. It also has a watermark that reveals a falcon in flight when held up to a light source. The note was printed by De La Rue and bears the signatures of Anthony Hughes and Mariano Kelesi. This particular Solomon Islands 50 dollar banknote is in uncirculated condition.
