The Solomon Islands 50 dollar banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Solomon Islands in 2004 with purple, green, and yellow color combinations. The notes obverse depicts the flag of the country, a hologram, a club, dog carvings, and the national emblem that reflects a crocodile and a shark. The back of the note displays Nymphalid butterflies, flowers, a pot, a snake, lizards. Additionally, it shows shells, plants, and a spear. The note is 160 x 72 mm in size and bears a windowed security thread with a demetalized CBSI. It also carries a watermark that reveals a falcons head, an electrotype CBSI, and Cornerstones. It was printed by De La Rue and signed by the bank governor Rick Houeniplwela and Secretary of Finance Shadrach Fanega. This particular note has been given a grade of 67 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
