The Solomon Islands 50 dollar banknote was released by the Central Bank of Solomon Islands in 2013. Its obverse features basket weave designs, the flag of Solomon Islands, bird carvings, and the coat of arms of the country which depicts a crocodile and a shark. The banknotes reverse displays Nymphalid butterflies, flowers, lizards, shells, plants, a spear, and a bird. The 145 x 66 mm paper bill comes with an Optiks security thread and a watermark that reflects a Falcons head, an electrotype CBSI, and Cornerstones.
