The Somalia 1,000 Shillings Banknote is part of the Puntland Region 1990 issues, printed by Pura Group in Indonesia. It has a color combination of orange, purple, and green and bears English and Somali texts. Its obverse features two women weaving baskets and mata. It also shows the coat of arms of the country. The reverse depicts a city coastline and ships and buildings at the port of Mogadishu. The banknote does not contain a security thread. Its watermark reflects Sayyid Mohammad Abdullah Hassan. It is 154 x 76 mm in size and has a Block Letter E. It also has a repeating serial number and is in uncirculated condition. Additionally, the note has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
