The Somalia 5 Shillings Banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Somalia in 1987. The obverse of this burgundy banknote features six cape buffalos, the coat of arms of Somalia, and a star. The reverse of the note illustrates three men harvesting bananas. The note does not have a security thread and watermark. It measures 120 x 60 mm and bears English and Somali text. It is also signed by Omar Ahmed Omar and Hassan Elmi Barkhadle. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
