The Somalia 50 New Somali Shillings Banknote is part of the Mogadishu Northern Forces, printed and delivered in November 1991 at the time of the Somali Civil War, with the national government no longer no effective and the Central Bank no longer functioning. It has a color combination of green, brown, and blue. Its obverse features the coat of arms of Somalia, a man with a loom, and a star. The reverse depicts a man with a donkey carrying three children. The note contains a watermark that reflects Sayyid Mohammad Abdullah Hassan. It also has a solid yellow security thread. It measures 138 x 71 mm. This unauthorized issued banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
