The Somaliland 1,000 Shilling banknote was released by the Bank of Somaliland in 2011. The banknotes obverse features the Bank of Somaliland building located in Hargeisa, trees, and camels. The reverse of the note depicts herdsmen with a flock of sheep and goats on Berbera dock. Trucks and a ship are also shown on the back of the note. The note is 145 x 66 mm in size and bears a windowed security thread with a demetalized BOS 1000. It also carries the signatures of the bank governor Abdi Dirir Abdi and cashier Abdi Mohamoud Gullet. This particular Somaliland 1,000 Shilling banknote is in uncirculated condition and is TAP authenticated.
