The Somaliland 1,000 Shilling banknote is part of the family of banknotes introduced by the Bank of Somaliland in 2015. At the center of its obverse is the Bank of Somaliland building located in Hargeisa. It also depicts trees and camels. Herdsmen with a flock of sheep and goats on Berbera dock are shown on the reverse. Trucks and a ship are also visible. The note is 145 x 66 mm in size and bears a windowed security thread with a demetalized BOS 1000. This particular Somaliland 1,000 Shilling banknote has a radar serial number and is in uncirculated condition. Additionally, the paper bill has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
