The South Africa 20 Rand banknote was released in 2015 by the South African Reserve Bank. It has brown and violet color combinations. The coat of arms of South Africa and a portrait of the countrys former president, Nelson Mandela are depicted on the banknotes obverse, while the banknotes reverse features elephants. The 134 x 70 mm paper bill comes with a holographic windowed security thread bearing the national emblem, SARB, and 20 RAND. Other security features include a watermark that shows Nelson Mandela and an electrotype 20, and a registration device in the form of an elephant. The note was printed by the South African Bank Note Company and signed by Gill Marcus. This particular paper bill has been given a grade of 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
