South Africa 20 Rand Banknote, 2018, P-144a, UNC

The 2018 20 South African rand is part of the award-winning series issued by the South African Reserve Bank to commemorate the centennial anniversary of Nelson Mandelas birth. The phrase Mandela Centenary 1918-2018 is printed vertically on both sides of the note. The obverse side also features Nelson Mandela, also known as Madiba, and the South African coat of arms at the upper right hand corner. The reverse side features a young Mandela wearing a traditional attire in his birthplace, Mvezo. The security features of the note are a holographic windowed security thread with the coat of arms and the phrase SARB 10 RAND, an electrotype watermark 10 and a watermark of Nelson Mandela. The dimensions of the note are 128 mm by 70 mm.
