Its obverse has a bilingual text with English predominating over Afrikaans and features Jan van Riebeeck and a diamond. The reverse depicts mine buildings and stylized modern skyscrapers. The banknote contains a solid security thread and a watermark that reveals Jan van Riebeeck. It is 127 x 63 mm in size and is signed by President Christian Lodewyk Stals. This particular paper bill is in used condition and has been TAP authenticated.
