South Africa 50 Rand Banknote, 2012 ND, P-135, PMG 66

The South Africa 50 Rand issued by the South African Reserve Bank in 2012 comes in maroon, olive green, and brown combinations. Its obverse boasts the countrys coat of arms and a picture of its former president, Nelson Mandela. Displayed on the reverse are lions. The note is 140 x 70 mm in size and bears a holographic windowed security thread with the national emblem, SARB, and 50 RAND. Furthermore, it carries a watermark that reveals Nelson Mandela and an electrotype 50 when peered through a light source. It also has a ion as its registration device. Printed by the South African Bank Note Company, the paper bill has the signature of Gill Marcus who was the bank governor/president. This particular South Africa 50 Rand has been graded 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
