The South Korea 2,000 Won banknote was released by the Bank of Korea in 2018 to commemorate the Winter Olympic Games held in Pyeongchang on February 9-25. On the banknotes obverse are the Pyeongchang 2018 Olympic logo, winter sports athletes, the Gangwon Province mountain range, and a snowflake hologram. The reverse of the note is in a vertical orientation and features a tiger and a pine tree from the painting Songhamaenghodo by Kim Hong-do. The banknote is 140 x 75 mm in size and bears a windowed Motion security thread with a Korean character pattern. It also carries a watermark that reflects the Pyeong Chang Olympic stadium. This particular South Korea 2,000 Won banknote comes in uncirculated condition and is TAP authenticated.
