This South Korea 2,000 Won Banknote from 2018 was issued by the Bank of Korea to commemorate the Winter Olympic Games held on February 9 - 25, 2018 in PyeongChang. The note is not intended for circulation and was released with a special commemorative folder. The banknote's front design depicts the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic logo, the Gangwon Province mountain range, the snowflake hologram, and athletes from winter sports events including biathlon, ice hockey, curling, speed skating, ski jumping, luge, and bobsled. The reverse side of the note features a tiger and a pine tree from Kim Hong-dos painting, Songhamaenghodo.
