Reviews:

The South Korea 5,000 Won Banknote was issued by the Bank of Korea in 2006. It comes in a combination of red, yellow, green, and blue. The obverse of the note features Confusian scholar Yulgok Yi I wearing a traditional Korean dress called “hanbok”. It also depicts the Ojukheon (Mongryoungsil) building, a round holographic patch, and ojuk (black bamboos). The reverse displays the hibiscus flower bank logo, a swallowtail butterfly, watermelons, cockscomb flowers, and katydid cricket. The banknote contains a solid security thread with printed Korean text Bank of Korea 5000, a registration device that shows t’aeguk (two comma roundel), and a watermark that reveals Yulgok Yi I and an electrotype 5000. The paper bill is 142 x 68 mm in size and is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
