South Korea 50,000 Won Banknote, 2009 ND, P-57, Used

The South Korea 50,000 Won Banknote is from the 2006-2009 series which introduced Western prefixes and serial numbers as well as improved security measures. The front side shows painter and author Shin Saim-dang wearing a hanbok, a traditional Korean dress, as well as a Mukpododo painting of a grape leaf. The back side shows a Poongjukdo painting of bamboo tree and a Wolmaedo painting of Japanese apricot tree. The banknote measures 154 x 68 mm and is mostly yellow with shades of green and blue.
