Their obverse has a unified design featuring revolutionary leader Dr. John Garang de Mabior. It also shows a Dinka warrior spear. The reverse depicts an animal including a herd of giraffes, buffalos, Sanga Juba cattle, oryx antelopes, elephants, and a lion. These notes have a watermark that reflects Dr. John Garang de Mabior.
