South Sudan 1 Pound Banknote, 2011, P-5, UNC

The South Sudan 1 Pound Banknote was issued in 2011 and features the portrait of Dr. John Garang de Mabior, a Sudanese politician and revolutionary leader, as well as a Dinka warrior spear on the obverse side. The reverse side features a herd of giraffes. The banknote is 126 x 67 mm in size, has shades of green, purple, and gray, and contains a UV watermark of Dr. de Mabiors image to enhance its security features.
