The South Sudan 1 South Sudanese Pound banknote is part of the family of banknotes issued by the Bank of South Sudan in 2011. The banknotes obverse depicts a portrait of Dr. John Garang de Mabior who was a revolutionary leader. It also features a Dinka warrior spear. The back of the note features a herd of giraffes. The note is 126 x 67 mm in size and bears a watermark that reflects the denomination and a portrait of a man. It also carries a windowed security thread with the denomination. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and is TAP authenticated.
