The South Sudan 5 South Sudanese Pound banknote was released by the Bank of South Sudan in 2011. Its obverse features a Dinka warrior spear and a picture of former president Dr. John Garang de Mabior who also led the Sudanese Peoples Liberation Army. The reverse of the note depicts Sanga Juba cattle of the Dinka tribe. The note is 120 x 60 mm in size and has a watermark that reflects Dr. John Garang de Mabior. It also has the signatures of Alija Malok Aleng and David Den Athorbei. This particular South Sudan 1 Pound banknote is in uncirculated condition.
