The South Sudan 50 South Sudanese Pounds banknote is part of the family of notes issued by the Bank of South Sudan in 2011 ND. Featured on the banknotes obverse is a portrait of Sudanese revolutionary leader Dr. John Garang de Mabior who led the Sudanese Peoples Liberation Army. It also depicts a Dinka warrior spear. The banknotes reverse displays elephants. The banknote is 142 x 72 mm in size and bears a windowed security thread. Additionally, it has a watermark that shows a mans face and the denomination. It also has the signatures of Alija Malok Aleng and David Den Athorbei. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
