The South Vietnam 1,000 Dong Banknote is part of the 1972 issues of the National Bank of Vietnam. It comes in a color combination of blue and green and bears Vietnamese text. The obverse of the note depicts the Independence Palace in Saigon. It also shows flowers and pseudo-embossed underprint patterns. On the reverse are three elephants carrying crates and drivers. Also on the reverse are is a pseudo-embossed underprint design. The banknote contains a solid security thread and a watermark that reveals Nguyen Thi Mai Anh. It is 153 x 75 mm in size and is signed by Kilu Phan Qui and Tran Van Thi. This particular paper bill is in used condition.
