The Spain 1,000 Pesetas Banknote was Issued by the Bank of Spain in 1971. It has hints of green, purple, and brown and bears Spanish text. Its obverse features clusters of fruit, the coat of arms of Spain, and a portrait of dramatist Jose Echegaray y Eizaguirre. The reverse depicts the facade of Banco de España headquarters building in Madrid. It does not contain a security thread. Its watermark reveals the head of Jose Echegaray. The banknote is 154 x 94 mm in size and is signed by Jose Gallego Adrados Luis Coronel de Palma, and Joaquin Serrano Garcia. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition.
