This used 100 Spanish peseta note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Bank of Spain. It is a purple, black, brown, orange, green, and blue note that is dated 25 April 1931, bear the signatures of Julio Carabias Salcedo, Adolfo Castaño Orejon, and Bonifacio Burgos Delgado, and measures 141 mm x 90 mm. Its obverse side features Gonzalo Fernandez de Cordoba (The Great Captain). Its reverse side shows the painting “The Great Captain in the Field of the Ceriñola Before the Corpse of His Enemy the Duke of Nemourse” byCasado del Alisal. Though the note does not have a security thread, it has a watermark of a helmeted bearded head in profile. The note was also withdrawn in 1939.
