The Spain 5,000 Peseta banknote was issued by the Bank of Spain in 1979. The banknotes obverse features a photograph of King Juan Carlos I by Alberto Schommer. It also depicts the coat of arms of Spain. The reverse design displays the Palacio Real or the Royal Palace in Madrid and a floor plan. Additionally, it shows a handwritten work of Juan Carlos I. The 156 x 86 mm paper bill carries a solid security thread and a watermark that reveals a portrait of King Juan Carlos I. The note also bears a registration device in the form of fleur-de-lys and the signatures of Rendueles, Palazuelo, and Urdiola. This particular Spain 5,000 Peseta banknote is in uncirculated condition and is TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
