The Spain 5 Pesetas Banknote is part of the Silver Certificate issues introduced by the Bank of Spain in 1935 to alleviate the coin shortage due to the Spanish Civil War. The banknote has a color combination of green, yellow, brown, red, and purple. Its obverse features the allegorical woman Republic wearing laurels. The reverse depicts guilloches. The note does have a security thread and watermark. It is 101 x 60 mm in size and is signed by Joaquin Serrano Montero, Alfredo Zavala Lafora, and Adolfo Castano Orejon. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition.
