This uncirculated 2,000 Sri Lankan rupee banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. It is a light rose and brown banknote that is dated 03 July 2006, bear the signatures of Mahinda Rajapaksa and Ajith Nivard Cabraal, and measures 164 mm x 82 mm. Its obverse side shows an elephant procession, the Sigiriya (Lion’s Rock) castle ruins in the Matale District, and a Sesatha (ceremonial flag). Its reverse side is vertically oriented and depicts a Sigiriya fresco. Security features include a red-to-green 4-mm wide StarChrome windowed security thread with a demetalized SRI LANKA RS 2000 and a butterfly and a watermark of a lion holding a whip with an electrotype sword and Cornerstones.
