This uncirculated 2 Sri Lankan rupee note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Central Bank of Ceylon. It is a brown, violet, and green note that is dated 26 August 1977, bear the signatures of Ronald Joseph Godfrey de Mel and Herbert E. Tennekoon, and measures 114 mm x 58 mm. Its obverse side features the statue of Parakramabahu the Great. Its reverse side shows the lotus stem pillars of Medirigiriya vatadage. Security features include a solid security thread and a watermark of a lion holding a whip.
