This uncirculated 500 Sri Lankan Rupee note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. It is a purple note that is dated 2017, bear the signatures of Indrajit Coommaraswamy and Mangala Samaraweera, and measures 143 mm x 67 mm. Its obverse side features the World Trade Center and the Bank of Ceylon headquarters buildings in Colombo, a Ceylon indigo royal butterfly, the ancient Buddhist temple Lankathilaka Viharaya in Kandy, a Sri Lanka emerald-collared parakeet bird and a lion holding a whip with a sword.
