Sri Lanka 500 Rupees banknote from 2017 has a pick number P-126e, is in uncirculated (UNC) condition, and features the Bank of Ceylon headquarters buildings.


This uncirculated 500 Rupees Sri Lanka note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. It is a purple note that is dated 2017, bear the signatures of Indrajit Coommaraswamy and Mangala Samaraweera, and measures 143 x 67 mm. Its obverse side features the World Trade Center and the Bank of Ceylon headquarters buildings in Colombo, a Ceylon indigo royal butterfly, the ancient Buddhist temple Lankathilaka Viharaya in Kandy. It also shows a Sri Lanka emerald-collared parakeet bird and a lion holding a whip with a sword. Its reverse is in a vertical orientation and features a Yak Bera drummer and Thelme Netuma dancer, a Padmanidhi guard stone, and a stylized Dvithva liya vela floral motif. Security features include a 2-mm wide red-to-green StarChrome windowed security thread with demetalized CBSL RS 500, and a watermark of Parakeet with electrotype 500 and cornerstones.
