The St. Helena 5 Pound Banknote was issued by the Government of St. Helena in 1981. The blue banknote features Queen Elizabeth II on its obverse. It also shows a sea-level view of sailing ships in Jamestown harbor. The reverse of the note depicts the coat of arms of the East India Company represented with lions, flags, and a shield. The reverse also reflects the St. Helena crest depicting a sailing ship. The note contains a solid security thread but does not have a watermark. It was printed by De La Rue and measures 151 x 73 mm. The paper bill also bears the signatures of Philip Edward Aldous, Simon Gillett, and George Carter Lawrence. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
