The Saint Thomas & Prince 5,000 dobra banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Sao Tome and Principe in 1996. The note comes in purple, green, and orange combinations and is 131 x 67 mm in size. Its obverse design features a papa figo bird, the coat of arms of the country, and a picture of revolutionary leader Rei Amador. The reverse of the note consists of the Agostinho Neto plantation hospital and bridge. PRinted by Thomas De La Rue Limited, the paper bill bears a solid security thread with a demetalized BCSTP and a watermark that reflects Rei Amador. It also carries the signatures of Acacio Elba Bonfim and Carlos Quaresma Batista de Sousa. This particular banknote has been given a grade of 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
