St. Thomas & Prince 500 Dobras Banknote, 1993, P-63a, UNC

The St. Thomas & Prince 500 Dobras Banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Sao Tome Principe in 1993. The purple banknote bears Portuguese text. Its obverse features the coat of arms of the country, a green sea turtle, flowers, and a portrait of Rei Amador. The reverse depicts palm trees, flowers, and the Cascata da Roca Blu-Blu waterfall on Sao Tome. The note contains a solid security thread with printed BCSTP. it also has a watermark that reveals Rei Amador. It is 153 x 76 mm in size and is signed by Arlindo Alfonso de Carvalho and Adelino Santiago Castlo David. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition.
