Stedesand 25-40 Pfennig 2 Pieces Notgeld Set, 1920, Mehl #1259, UNC

This banknote set comes with 2 pieces of Stedesand notgeld banknotes in denominations of 25 and 40 pfennig. These banknotes were released in 1920 by the Municipality of Stedesand which is a Prussian province of Schleswig-Holstein. Their obverse designs feature a coat of arms while their reverse side has various designs. The 25 pfennig banknote is 83 x 62 mm in size while the vertical-oriented 40-pfennig notgeld is 85 x 60 mm. These emergency paper bills are in uncirculated condition.
