Reviews:

This set includes 4 pieces of notgeld banknotes issued by the Municipality of Stuetzerbach in Thuringia in 1921. These paper bills are in denominations of 10, 20, 25, and 50 pfennig. They are in various colors and each has its own design. The size of these paper bills augments with the denomination. The 10-pfennig note features the Goethe room with a heater, a desk, and a table on its obverse while the reverse depicts the Hermannstein rock. It also shows an excerpt of Goethes writing. The obverse of the 20-pfennig bill displays old glassworks and three glass workers while a train at the Rennsteigbahn railroad is shown on the opposite side. The front side of the 25-pfennig note displays a Capercaillie cock, roadhouses, and a hunter. On the back, Goethe can be seen sitting in front of his house on the Kickelhahn mountain. An excerpt of his poem, Wandrers Nachtlied, is shown on the left and a quote from Faust II is on the right. The center of the 50-pfennigs obverse shows silhouette figures of Goethe and Duke Carl August dancing with two ladies. In-profile portraits of Goethe and Carl August in silhouette are also depicted. Its reverse features a view of a village. These notgeld paper bills are designed by Max Bechstein and are in uncirculated condition.
