The Sudan 1 Sudanese Pound Banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Sudan in 2006. The light brown banknote bears Arabic and English texts. Its obverse features the peace theme with a dove in flight above a map. It also shows the Central Bank of Sudan headquarters building in Khartoum, drums, and a map. The reverse depicts the bank logo, two doves in flight, and a sunflower. The note contains a 2-mm wide windowed security thread with a demetallized CBS 1 and Arabic text. Its watermark reveals a pigeon and an electrotype LS 1. It also has a sunflower registration device. It is 139 x 64 mm in size and is signed by Sabir Mohammed Hassan. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition.
