The Suriname 10 Gulden banknote was released by the Central Bank of Suriname in 2000. Its obverse features nymphalid butterflies, an Anthracothorax viridigula or a green-throated mango bird, the countrys emblem, a map, and trees. The back of the note depicts the Central Bank of Suriname headquarters building situated at the Waterkant n Paramaribo, scarlet star flowers, and the bank logo. The banknote is 140 x 70 mm in size and was printed by Thomas De La Rue. Its security features include a registration device in the form of a stag beetle, a windowed security thread with a demetalized CBVS 10, and a watermark that reflects the bank headquarters and an electrotype CBVS.. This particular paper bill has been graded 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
