The Suriname 10 Gulden Banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Suriname in 2000. Its obverse features a green-throated mango bird, the National Emblem of Suriname, a map, trees, and Nymphalid butterflies. On the reverse are the headquarters building of the Central Bank van Suriname at the Waterkant in Paramaribo, scarlet star flowers which is also known as Guzmania lingulata, and the Central bank seal. The 140 x 70 mm banknote has a windowed security thread with a demetallized CBVS 10. Its watermarks consist of an image of the bank headquarters and an electrotype CBVS. It also bears a stag beetle as its registration device. This particular banknote has a repeating serial number and is in uncirculated condition. Additionally, it has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
