The Suriname 25 Gulden banknote was released by the Central Bank of Suriname in 1988 bearing a repeating serial number. The banknote’s obverse features Anton de Kom who was a Surinamese resistance fighter. The front side also depicts faya lobi flowers, a star, five soldiers with rifles, and a woman raising a flag. The banknote’s reverse depicts a toucan bird, hibiscus, ginger, heliconia, and faya lobi flowers. It also portrays a crowd listening to Anton de Kom outside the house of his father on February 1, 1933. Printed by Thomas De La Rue and Company Limited, the 150 x 72 mm paper bill has a watermark that reflects a toucan. This particular paper bill comes in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
