The Suriname 25 Gulden banknote was introduced in 1996 by the Central Bank of Suriname. The banknote has green, orange, yellow, and red combinations. Its obverse portrays the Central Bank of Suriname headquarters building situated at the Waterkant in Paramaribo, two track runners, and a hibiscus flower. The reverse of the note depicts a toucan sitting on a tree branch, hibiscus flowers, the coat of arms of Suriname, and 1998 Olympic gold medal winner Anthony Neste swimming the butterfly stroke. The 147 x 68 mm paper bill was printed by Thomas De La Rue & Company Limited. Its security features include a solid security thread and a watermark that reveals a toucan. This particular Suriname 25 Gulden banknote has been given a grade of 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
