The Suriname 5 dollar banknote is part of the family of notes issued in 2012 by the Central Bank of Suriname. The banknote comes with red, orange, brown, green, and blue combinations. Its obverse features the countrys emblem, the bank headquarters building at the Waterkant in Paramaribo, and a nymphaea missouri flower. Depicted on the banknotes reverse are the bank logo, cocos nucifera or coconut palm tree, a forest and rapids scenery near the Gran-Rio in Sula. The 140 x 70 mm paper bill has a registration device that reflects the bank logo. It also has a windowed security thread with a demetalized SRD. Additionally, the note bears a holographic stripe, a watermark that reveals the bank headquarters, an electrotype CBvS, and Cornerstones. Printed by De La Rue, the Suriname 5 Dollar bill carries the signature of Gillmore Hoefdraad. This particular bill has been graded 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
