This used 5 Surinamese gulden banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Central Bank of Suriname. It is a blue and gray banknote that is dated 1 September 1963, bears the signature of President Victor M. de Miranda, and measures 152 mm x 66 mm. Its obverse side features a torch with the 1963 banner and a woman carrying a basket full of fruits and vegetables on her head. Its reverse side shows the Suriname coat of arms. Though the banknote does not have a security thread, it has a parrot head watermark and a true binary serial number.
