The Suriname 5 Gulden banknote is part of the family of notes issued in 1995 by the Central Bank of Suriname. The front side of the note features the Central Bank van Suriname headquarters building at the Waterkant in Paramaribo. It also displays two logging trucks and a hibiscus flower. The banknotes reverse depicts the coat of arms of Suriname and two bulldozers cutting down trees. Another notable design element is a man wearing a hardhat cutting lumber using a chainsaw. The paper bill is 147 x 68 mm in size and bears a solid security thread. Additionally, it carries a watermark that reveals a toucan. It also bears the signature of Andre Eugene Telting. This banknote has been given a grade of 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
