The Suriname 5 Gulden Banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Suriname in 1996. It has hints of blue, violet, green, and red in color and bears Dutch text. The obverse features two logging trucks and the Central Bank van Suriname headquarters building at the Waterkant in Paramaribo. It also shows a hibiscus flower. The reverse depicts a toucan on a branch, hibiscus flowers, and two bulldozers felling trees. It also displays a man wearing a hard hat cutting lumber with a chainsaw and the coat of arms of Suriname. The note contains a solid security thread and a watermark that reveals a toucan. It is 147 x 68 mm in size. This particular paper bill is in uncirculated condition. It also bears a repeating serial number. Additionally, it has been TAP authenticated.
