The Suriname 5 Gulden banknote is part of the family of notes issued by the Central Bank of Suriname in 1996. The banknotes obverse features the Central Bank van Suriname headquarters building at the Waterkant in Paramaribo, two logging trucks, and a hibiscus flower. On the reverse is a Toucan on a branch, hibiscus flowers, a man with a hardhat cutting lumber using a chainsaw. The back of the note also displays the national emblem and two bulldozers cutting down trees. The 147 x 68 mm paper bill bears a solid security thread and a watermark that reveals a toucan. This particular Suriname 5 Gulden banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
