Suriname 5 Gulden Banknote, 2000, P-146, UNC, TAP 60-70 Authenticated

This Suriname 5 gulden was issued in 2000 by the Central Bank van Suriname. The obverse side of this note features a Campephilus rubricollis bird which is a red-necked woodpecker. Nymphalid butterflies, as well as the countrys Coat of Arms, a map and trees, are also notable. The obverse also bears a bat as the notes registration device. On the back is the Centrale Bank van Suriname logo and Passiflora quadrangularis flowers that are also known as giant granadilla. In the background is the Central Bank van Suriname headquarters building located at the Waterkant in the capital city of Paramaribo. This 140 x 70 mm paper banknote has a windowed security thread with a demetallized CBVS 5. Its watermarks are an image of the CBVS headquarters and an electrotype CBVS. This banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
