The Swaziland 100 Emalangeni banknote was introduced by the Central Bank of Swaziland in 2008 to commemorate King Mswati IIIs 40th birthday and the countrys 40th anniversary of independence. The front of the note features the kings portrait, the Parliament House building in Lobamba, and the coat of arms of Swaziland consisting of a lion and elephants flanking the shield with a crown of feathers. The back of the note depicts the bank seal and a rock formation. The paper bill is 157x 70 mm bears a solid security thread with a demetalized CENTRAL BANK OF SWAZILAND. Additionally, the banknote has a holographic stripe, a watermark that shows a shield and spears, a registration device in the form of a shield and spears,and the signatures of Majozi Vincent Sithole and Martin Dlamini. This particular banknote has been given a grade of 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
