The Swaziland 20 Emalangeni is part of the family of notes issued by the Central Bank of Swaziland in 2008 to commemorate King Mswati IIIs 40th birthday and the 40th anniversary of the countrys independence. The banknotes obverse features a portrait of King Mswati III, the Parliament House building, and the coat of arms of Swaziland depicting a lion and elephants flanking the shield with a crown of feathers. The reverse of the note displays the bank seal and straw huts. The 160 x 70 mm paper bill bears a holographic stripe, a solid security thread with a demetalized Central Bank of Swaziland, and a watermark that reveals a shield and spears. The banknote also bears a registration device in the form of a shield and spears. Additionally, it carries the signatures of Majozi Vincent Sithole and Martin Dlamini. This particular banknote has been given a grade of 67 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
