The Sweden 500 Kronor banknote was released by the Sveriges Riksbank in 2014. Featured on its obverse are the first building of the Riksbank in Jarntorget in Stockholm, a microprinting of the bank motto, and David Klocker Ehrenstrahls depiction of King Karl XI. The reverse of the note displays engineer Christopher Polhem, the Falu copper mine with Polhems ore gathering plants, a gear wheel from the engineers industrial plant in Dalarna, and mathematical calculations taken from one of his notebooks. The banknote is 150 x 82 mm in size and bears a holographic stripe. It has a solid security thread with a demetalized 500 KRONOR. It also carries a watermark that reflects Karl XI and an electrotype 500. Additionally, the banknote was signed by Bergqvist and Heikensten. This particular Sweden 500 Kronor banknote is in uncirculated condition.
