The Switzerland 1,000 Franken Banknote is part of the 1994-2018 8th Series which featured vertical designs for all denominations. This particular 1,000-franken banknote is purple in color and measures 181 x 74 mm. The obverse side bears the image of historian of art and culture Jacob Burckhardt along with French, German, Italian, and Romansch text. The reverse side shows a window of the Palazzo Strozzi in Florence, along with a section of the Pergamon Altar. The dome of the Pantheon in Rome is also visible in the background.
